Real or Scam? An Honest Review About Knoki Foot Patches!

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Our bodies are exposed to a large variety of toxins on a daily basis. They are found in the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe.

The fruit and vegetables that we eat can contain pesticides. The meat that we eat can contain such things as growth hormones and large amounts of antibiotics. Even fresh fish can contain high amounts of mercury.

Toxins can interfere with the efficiency of your liver. They can also lower your metabolism, which can cause weight gain. Toxins that are found in your body have also been shown to contribute to such ailments as chronic fatigue syndrome and various types of cancer.

It is only natural that we will want to try to remove any toxins that we can from the body. There are numerous commercials about the foot pads that help your body to detoxify. It seems like a very simple and straightforward way to help draw toxins out of the body. But the question is, do they really work?

Both Avon and Kinoki are two companies that promote the detoxifying foot pads. They were recently tested by numerous people both on the show 20/20 and some professional bloggers.

The results were very disappointing. The vast majority of people who used the foot pads said that they did not feel any difference when they were using them. This is in spite of the fact that most of the people who tried these foot pads really did want them to work.

The foot pad manufacturers claim that the pads turn dark because they draw the toxins out of the body through the bottom of the feet. All of the people that participated in these tests did acknowledge the fact that the pads did turn dark. They also said that there was a horrible smell associated with the pads when they woke up in the morning. A few of the subjects said that the smell was so bad that it permeated the sheets and blankets on the bed.

But laboratory tests on the pads showed that there were no toxic substances in the pads themselves. Further tests showed that the pads would turn dark because of the substances that were contained in the pads to begin with.

The conclusion is that the detoxifying pads that are advertised do not work and are, basically, a scam.

Are Organic Detox Foot Pads Really Effective For Weight Loss?

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

You have probably seen numerous commercials about how dangerous and bad it is to have toxins in your system You’ve probably also heard that having toxins in your body can have negative consequences when you’re trying to lose weight!

Detoxifying footpads are promoted as a very simple and effective way to get the toxins out of your body. All you have to do is stick the pads on the bottom of your feet and you go to bed. When you wake up in the morning, the pads are dark because of all of the toxins that they have removed from your body. They are als0 promoted as removing harmful chemicals and substances  such as heavy metals and pesticides.

The companies that sell these footpads also say that after each night you use the pads, they will become less and less dark. This is because you will be removing the toxins from your body, so less will be on the pads.

But do they really work? Can they actually help you lose weight?

Numerous trials have been done lately about the effectiveness of these footpads. Nearly every subject in these trials has reported that they do not have any significant beneficial effects from using the footpads. They have not had more energy, they have not lost weight and they have not felt significantly better.

Nearly all of the subjects did report that the pads were dark after they woke up in the morning. They also reported that the pads had a horrible smell to them.

Tests that were run on the pads came back saying that there were no harmful substances detected in the foot pads. The pads did not draw out any type of toxins from the body. The dark color that was seen on the pads was simply because the pads were wet. Even using distilled water to wet the pads made them turn dark.

Using detoxifying footpads will not help you lose weight. A much more effective method would be to naturally remove the toxins from your body by soaking in a sauna for 15 minutes a day and by only eating foods that are certified as being organic.

The Facts About Master Cleanse Diet

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

The Master Cleanse diet has gotten a lot of publicity recently. I am sure that many of you heard about the incredible results from this diet.

This is an incredibly stupid diet to go on. First of all, it is basically only water, maple syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. The only thing in this entire lineup that keeps you from starving too quickly is the maple syrup. There is nothing special about adding maple syrup to this diet – you would do the same thing by adding several teaspoons of sugar or honey to the concoction.

After adding lemon juice to the water along with the maple syrup, all you have is a strange lemonade. Nothing in this diet is special!

Finally, you add the cayenne pepper. Other than to make the very strange lemonade concoction extremely nasty, the only other possible effect of the cayenne pepper would possible be to irritate your gastrointestinal tract and possible cause you to have diarrhea.

In short, this diet is very similar to using laxatives and taking some type of laxative tea is also recommended along with the homemade peppery lemonade mix. Some diets encourage the abuse of laxatives in order to promote weight loss. This is a very misguided effort. The only thing that abusing laxatives will do is to increase the amount of water you lose, not to affect the amount of nutrients absorbed.

Dehydration is a distinct possibility with this type of diet. The laxative effects from both the peppery lemonade-with-maple syrup beverage that you create, in addition to the laxative tea that is recommended, can be harmful to your health and well-being.

There are some who argue that this is not actually a diet. They will say that it is intended to only be a detoxification program. While this might be true, it is being promoted as a diet and jot just a cleansing program.

Truthfully, there are many ways to detoxify your body without following dangerous regimens such as the Master Cleanse diet. Fifteen minutes daily in a sauna can do wonders to remove any toxins that might be in your system, and it would be a whole lot safer than trying to follow this dangerous diet that is really nothing more than a fancy way to starve yourself.
